City Council approves salary increase for city administrator

I meant the city administrator but to me they both get paid too much. Yes some of the employees don't do much but the ones that do don't get paid what they deserve. If the city council and administrator look at what the other citys pay their employees then they will understand where I am coming from. As for the phones, that is fine that they don't provide them but then they need to find other means of communication and stop using the employees personal phones. Over 50% of the calls are from the city. As for the coffee I'm just making a point. If they need to cut costs then why give such a raise if the city is hurting? We pay for the administrators lunch and coffee and a lot of other things that should not get expensed. The city and the people need to look into those. As for the city paying the employees well and that is why they don't leave. Now that's funny!!!!

Yes the paying for coffee may sound humerable but when you add it to the numerous other item the mayor has cut to save on expenses its not. Especially when he just gets approved for a $10,000 raise.

The mayor has been here 1 year so he gets a $10,000 raise. What about the emloyeees who have been here double and triple the time? Doesn't the mayor and city council believe they do a great job as well? I think the paper needs to look into this further.

This is so wrong it makes me sick....What about the employees who make a considerable amount less then the nearby cities? I bet he didn't do his research when he gave them a so called pay increase. He's making them buy their own coffee, he cut out work phone so now they have to use their personal phones, and I know more cuts are in the works. The city is going to lose some very good employees. The mayor needs to start looking out for them!!
