State Rep. Kenny Wilk, R-Lansing, the recipient of the 2004 Legislator of the Year award from the Biotechnology Industry Organization, has announced his retirement from the Kansas House of Representatives. Wilk accepted the award bioscience award in July 2005 in Lawrence, where he spoke to members of the Kansas Biosciences Authority, fellow lawmakers and higher education, biological research and economic development officials from across Kansas.
