Gladys Walters gets a bowl of chicken noodle soup from Florence Somers at the First Congregational Church this afternoon. The church will once again open the basement kitchen for the chili and soup dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The dinner is sponsored by the church's Plymouth Guild. Somers, who is president of the guild, said the 40 gallons of soup and chili that are made for the event can usually feed around 250 people and whatever is left over is given to the Alliance Against Family Violence.
