Paul Nissan, McLouth, takes aim at a target with a bow Saturday at the TCHS open house. Nissan makes replica bows of Native American tribes. He said some bows are bigger depending on the tribes locations. Bows used on the plains were bigger because of the more wide-open spaces and the need for longer range shooting. He said the speed of arrows from his bows have been clocked at 140 feet per second.
