Brig. Gen. Sean MacFarland, deputy commanding general for the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, speaks at the official opening of Muir Hall, the new headquarters for the Army's School of Advanced Military Studies. Muir Hall, like nearby Flint Hall, was originally built as a horse stable. (An acronym guide: SAMS: School of Advanced Military Studies; CAC: Combined Arms Center; ILE: Intermediate-Level Education, another officer training school program at Fort Leavenworth's Command and General Staff College.)
