.WIDESPREAD MODERATE RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD ACROSS THE
AREA THIS MORNING AND AFTERNOON ENDING FROM WEST TO EAST LATE THIS
AFTERNOON INTO EARLY THIS EVENING. LIGHT RAIN AND OR DRIZZLE WILL
THEN CONTINUE INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS...HOWEVER RAINFALL AMOUNTS
TONIGHT WILL BE VERY LIGHT AND WILL NOT ADD TO THE FLOODING RISK.
STORM TOTAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH TODAY
WILL RANGE FROM 1 TO 3 INCHES. THE HEAVIEST AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED
TO OCCUR OVER FAR SOUTHWESTERN MISSOURI AND EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN
KANSAS.
THIS WIDESPREAD RAIN COMBINED WITH MOIST SOIL CONDITIONS AND A
LACK OF SEASONAL VEGETATION...WILL LEAD TO THE POTENTIAL FOR MINOR
FLOODING TODAY.
...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CST THIS EVENING...

DADE...DOUGLAS...GREENE...JASPER...LAWRENCE...MCDONALD...
NEWTON...OZARK...STONE...TANEY...WEBSTER AND WRIGHT.
* UNTIL 9 PM CST THIS EVENING
* WIDESPREAD RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 1 TO 3
INCHES ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND FAR SOUTHWESTERN
MISSOURI. THIS RAIN COMBINED WITH MOIST SOIL CONDITIONS AND A
LACK OF SEASONAL VEGETATION WILL ENHANCE THE RISK FOR FLOODING.
* RISES ON AREA STREAMS AND RIVERS ARE EXPECTED LEADING TO THE
POTENTIAL FOR MINOR FLOODING. LOW WATER CROSSINGS WILL BE
ESPECIALLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLOODING.
