...WINTER STORM CONTINUES TO AFFECT THE TRI STATE AREA...
AN INTENSE WINTER STORM SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO BRING
SNOW...BLOWING SNOW...STRONG WIND GUSTS...AND REDUCTIONS IN
VISIBILITIES ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA. TRAVEL WILL BE EXTREMELY
DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE IN BOTH WARNED AREAS UNDER BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS ACROSS THE REGION.
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BEGIN TO TAPER OFF THIS AFTERNOON AS THE
STORM SYSTEM SHIFTS EASTWARD. HOWEVER...BLOWING SNOW AND GROUND BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE TO BE EXPERIENCED AT TIMES FOR MANY
LOCATIONS IN STRONGER WIND GUSTS WITH BLOWING/DRIFTING SNOW.
WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO IMPROVE AFTER 6 PM CST / 5 PM
MST TONIGHT.
...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM MST /6 PM
CST/ THIS AFTERNOON...
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS BETWEEN 1 AND
2 INCHES EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON.
* WINDS...NORTH 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 45 MPH.
* IMPACTS...SNOWFALL AND STRONG WINDS TUESDAY AFTERNOON WILL
CREATE BLIZZARD-LIKE CONDITIONS WITH VISIBILITIES LESS THAN ONE
QUARTER MILE AT TIMES. TRAVEL WILL BECOME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT.
