WEDNESDAY EVENING...
.A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVES OUT OF THE CENTRAL
ROCKIES AND ACROSS THE HIGH PLAINS WEDNESDAY AND WEDNESDAY EVENING.
STRONG NORTH WINDS OF 30 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 55 MPH WILL
PRODUCE AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW WITH BLIZZARD OR NEAR BLIZZARD
CONDITIONS OVER SNOW COVERED AREAS WEDNESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY
EVENING. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE
FROM NORTHEAST COLORADO WITH 1 TO 3 INCHES ACROSS NORTHWEST KANSAS
AND SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GOODLAND HAS ISSUED A WINTER
STORM WARNING FOR SNOW AND STRONG WIND...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM
6 AM MDT /7 AM CDT/ WEDNESDAY TO MIDNIGHT MDT /1 AM CDT/ WEDNESDAY
NIGHT. THE WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
* TIMING/DURATION...RAIN WILL BEGIN TO TRANSITION TO SNOW EARLY
WEDNESDAY MORNING AS COLDER TEMPERATURES FOLLOW A COLD FRONT
ACROSS THE AREA. SNOW AND WIND WILL DIMINISH FROM WEST TO EAST
WEDNESDAY EVENING AS THE SYSTEM MOVES OUT OF THE REGION.
* SNOW/ICE ACCUMULATIONS...3 TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE
* WINDS/VISIBILITY...NORTH WINDS OF 30 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 55
MPH ARE POSSIBLE AND WILL PRODUCE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.
NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS WITH VISIBILITIES LESS THAN ONE HALF
MILE AT TIMES CAN BE EXPECTED.
* OTHER IMPACTS...DECREASED VISIBILITIES WITH BLOWING AND DRIFTING
SNOW AND STRONG NORTH WINDS WILL PRODUCE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
CONDITIONS.
