...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH
LATE SATURDAY NIGHT...
* TIMING/DURATION...SNOW WILL BEGIN OVER YUMA COUNTY THIS
EVENING AND SPREAD SOUTHEAST OVERNIGHT. SNOW WILL BE
WIDESPREAD OVER THE ENTIRE TRI-STATE AREA SATURDAY AND
SATURDAY NIGHT. SNOW WILL END EARLY SUNDAY.
* SNOW/ICE ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 7 TO 8 INCHES
ARE POSSIBLE.
* WINDS/VISIBILITY...EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH ARE
EXPECTED TONIGHT AND SHOULD NOT PRODUCE ANY BLOWING SNOW. ON
SATURDAY INTO EARLY SATURDAY NIGHT NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS
WILL GRADUALLY INCREASE INTO THE 20 TO 30 MPH RANGE WITH
HIGHER GUSTS PRODUCING BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW ALONG WITH
SHARPLY REDUCED VISIBILITIES. NEAR BLIZZARD CONDITIONS ARE
POSSIBLE.
* OTHER IMPACTS...IN ADDITION TO IMPACTING TRAVEL...THIS WINTER
STORM WILL POSE A THREAT TO YOUNG LIVESTOCK. RANCHERS SHOULD
TAKE PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT THEIR ANIMALS.
