.FREEZING RAIN ANDS SLEET WILL CHANGE TO SNOW THIS MORNING AND
OVERSPREAD SOUTHWEST KANSAS AS AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE
APPROACHES FROM THE WEST. BITTER COLD TEMPERATURES AND WIND
CHILLS WILL PERSIST THROUGH MONDAY MORNING.
...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CST THIS
AFTERNOON...
...WIND CHILL ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 AM CST MONDAY...
* TIMING...TONIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY.
* SNOW/ICE/SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...FREEZING RAIN, SLEET AND SNOW
WILL PERSIST EARLY THIS MORNING BEFORE CHANGING TO ALL SNOW. 4
TO 6 INCHES OF SNOW WILL FALL ON TOP OF LOCATIONS THAT HAVE
ALREADY EXPERIENCED SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN.
* WIND CHILL VALUES...15 TO 20 DEGREES BELOW ZERO.
* MAIN IMPACT.....HIGHWAYS WILL BECOME SNOWPACKED AND THERE WILL
BE PATHCES OF ICE AS WELL DUE TO PREVIOUS FREEZING RAIN AND
SLEET.
* OTHER IMPACTS...REDUCED VISIBILITIES IN AREAS OF BLOWING AND
DRIFTING SNOW. FROSTBITE TO EXPOSED SKIN CAN OCCUR IN 30
MINUTES OR LESS WITH THESE BITTER WIND CHILLS.
