* AT 1217 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED SCATTERED SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING TO MOVE SOUTH ACROSS SOUTHEAST
KANSAS...PRODUCING POCKETS OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE
REGION.
* THIS MORNING`S NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCED WIDESPREAD RAINFALL
AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 5 INCHES ACROSS THE WESTERN HALF OF NEOSHO AND FAR
EASTERN WILSON COUNTIES...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS LIKELY.
* EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS EARLIER HEAVY RAIN...ALONG WITH THE
CURRENT SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY...IS LIKELY PRODUCING
FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS...AND HIGHWAYS AND
UNDERPASSES IN URBAN AREAS. ADDITIONALLY...COUNTRY ROADS AND
FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS...STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING
AREAS MAY ALSO BE SUBJECT TO FLOODING.
