At 444 PM CDT, local news media showed extensive flash flooding over
the northern Kansas City Metro. Up to three inches of rain has
fallen this afternoon and additional heavy rain is expected this
evening. Dangerous flash flooding is already occurring.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Shawnee, Liberty, Gladstone, Lansing, Excelsior Springs, Smithville,
Kearney, Bonner Springs, Richmond, Parkville, Lexington,
Edwardsville, North Kansas City, Sugar Creek, Riverside, Lawson,
Weatherby Lake, Westwood, Claycomo and Kansas City Kansas.

Interstate 70 in Missouri near mile marker 0.
Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 410 and 423.
Interstate 35 in Missouri near mile marker 0, and between mile
markers 5 and 38.
