WESTERN CALDWELL COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI...

* AT 359 AM CDT...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT REPORTED LINGERING FLOOD
PROBLEMS RESULTING FROM THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL
OVER THE WARNED AREA. REPORTS RECEIVED INDICATE OVER 4 INCHES OF
RAIN HAS FALLEN IN SOME AREAS.
* RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
CAMERON...GALLATIN...HAMILTON...LAWSON...MAYSVILLE...EXCELSIOR
ESTATES...KINGSTON...OSBORN...POLO AND STEWARTSVILLE.
REPORTS FROM LOCAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS INDICATE THAT THE
HIDE AWAY LAKES DAM NEAR POLO COULD POTENTIALLY FAIL DUE TO HIGH
WATER. REMAIN ALERT FOR ANY ADDITIONAL FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS THAT MAY
BE ISSUED IF A DAM FAILURE BECOMES IMMINENT.
