...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST
TODAY...
* TIMING...RAIN WILL MIX WITH AND CHANGE OVER TO SNOW THROUGH 4 AM
WITH SNOW THEN CONTINUING OVERNIGHT. THE SNOW WILL THEN END
WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL WILL OCCUR THROUGH 6
AM.
* MAIN IMPACT...A 1 TO 3 INCH BAND OF HEAVY...WET SNOWFALL IS
EXPECTED SOUTHEAST OF INTERSTATE 44 WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS
ALONG AND SOUTHEAST OF A GAINESVILLE TO SALEM LINE. HIGHER
AMOUNTS NEAR 4 INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE IN A VERY NARROW BAND.
TEMPERATURES WILL LIKELY REMAIN IN THE LOWER 30S WHICH WILL
TEND TO LIMIT ACCUMULATION TO ELEVATED SURFACES... GRASSY
AREAS... AND LESS TRAVELED RURAL ROADWAYS. THIS SNOWFALL COULD
AFFECT THE MORNING COMMUTE.
* OTHER IMPACTS...VISIBILITIES WILL BE REDUCED DUE TO GUSTY
NORTH WINDS AND HEAVY WET SNOWFALL. VISIBILITIES WILL LIKELY
BE REDUCED TO LESS THAN A HALF MILE AT TIMES.
