* TIMING...PATCHY FREEZING DRIZZLE WILL REMAIN POSSIBLE ACROSS THE
AREA THROUGH THIS EVENING HOURS. IN ADDITION...LIGHT SNOW WILL
MIX WITH THE FREEZING DRIZZLE ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS
AND FAR WESTERN MISSOURI. REPORTS OF SLICK SPOTS ON AREA
ROADWAYS HAVE BEEN INCREASING EARLY THIS EVENING.
BRIDGES...OVERPASSES
* MAIN IMPACT...ROADS ACROSS THE AREA VARY FROM JUST WET TO STILL
COVERED WITH SNOW AND ICE FROM EARLIER SNOWFALL. ADDITIONAL
FREEZING DRIZZLE HAS CAUSED ADDITIONAL SLICK SPOTS TO DEVELOP ON
AREA ROADWAYS...PARTICULARLY ON BRIDGES...OVERPASSES...ENTRANCE
AND EXIT RAMPS AND SECONDARY ROADS.
* OTHER IMPACTS...EVEN A LIGHT ACCUMULATION OF FREEZING DRIZZLE
WILL CAUSE HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS. CHECK ROAD CONDITIONS
BEFORE YOU TRAVEL. REDUCE SPEED AND ALLOW FOR INCREASED BRAKING
DISTANCE.
