...SUBZERO WIND CHILLS THIS MORNING AND THEN A WINTER STORM IS ON
TAP FOR THE END OF THE WEEK...
.COLD ARCTIC HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD INTO THE
MIDSOUTH TODAY. NORTH WINDS COMBINED WITH VERY COLD TEMPERATURES
WILL PRODUCE WIND CHILLS OF ZERO TO 15 BELOW ZERO THIS MORNING
ACROSS MUCH OF THE MIDSOUTH. BY THE END OF THE WEEK LOW PRESSURE
WILL BEGIN TO MOVE OUT OF THE SOUTHERN PLAINS WHILE A WARM FRONT
APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTH. COLD AIR WILL BE IN PLACE ACROSS THE
REGION AND AS A RESULT A VARIETY OF WINTER PRECIPITATION TYPES ARE
LIKELY LATE TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY NIGHT.

LATE FRIDAY NIGHT...
* SNOW/SLEET/ICE ACCUMULATIONS...SIGNIFICANT ICE ACCUMULATIONS ARE
LIKELY WITH ADDITIONAL SLEET AND SNOW ACCUMULATIONS.
* WIND CHILL VALUES...ZERO AND 12 DEGREES BELOW ZERO.
* TIMING...WIND CHILLS WILL DROP BELOW ZERO THROUGH THIS MORNING.
SIGNIFICANT WINTER PRECIPITATION IS LIKELY FROM LATE TONIGHT
INTO FRIDAY NIGHT.
* IMPACTS...THE DANGEROUS WIND CHILL VALUES COULD CAUSE
FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA WITH EXPOSURE AS LITTLE AS IN 30
MINUTES. HAZARDOUS TRAVEL IS LIKELY LATE THURSDAY NIGHT INTO
FRIDAY NIGHT.
