...POTENTIAL WINTER STORM THIS WEEKEND...
A STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING ACCUMULATING SNOW TO MOST OF OUR REGION
SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. MAINLY RAIN IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ON
SATURDAY...AND THEN CHANGE OVER TO SNOW SATURDAY NIGHT. ALTHOUGH
IT IS TOO EARLY TO PIN DOWN EXACT SNOW TOTALS...AT THIS TIME IT
APPEARS THAT THE HIGHEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WILL OCCUR ACROSS
NORTHEAST MISSOURI AND WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS WHERE 4 TO 6 INCHES
IS POSSIBLE. FURTHER SOUTH ACROSS CENTRAL INTO SOUTHEAST MISSOURI
AS WELL AS SOUTHWEST ILLINOIS ABOUT 2 TO 4 INCHES IS POSSIBLE.
AS THE RAIN CHANGES OVER TO SNOW SATURDAY NIGHT UNTREATED ROADS
MAY BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY. PLEASE KEEP ABREAST OF THE
LATEST FORECASTS AND POSSIBLE WATCHES...WARNINGS OR ADVISORIES. BE
PREPARED FOR POTENTIAL HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS SATURDAY NIGHT
AND SUNDAY.
