KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI...
.AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP OVER THE HIGH PLAINS TODAY
WITH AN INCREASED PRESSURE GRADIENT EXPECTED OVER THE AREA. THIS
WILL LEAD TO STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS ACROSS EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN
KANSAS AND WESTERN MISSOURI THROUGH LATE THIS AFTERNOON.
SUSTAINED WINDS OF 25 TO 30 MPH AND GUSTS TO AROUND 45 MPH ARE
EXPECTED.
...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM CST THIS
AFTERNOON...
* SHORT TERM TRENDS...SOUTH WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO INCREASE ACROSS
THE ADVISORY AREA. SUSTAINED WINDS BETWEEN 25 AND 30 MPH AND
GUSTS TO AROUND 45 MPH WILL BECOME COMMON.
* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...THROUGH LATE THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS
EXTREME SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND PORTIONS OF WESTERN MISSOURI.
GENERALLY WEST OF A NEVADA TO PINEVILLE LINE.
* WINDS...SUSTAINED SOUTH WINDS OF 25 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
AROUND 45 MPH.
* IMPACTS...DRIVING MAY BE IMPACTED ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE IN HIGH
PROFILE VEHICLES ON WEST TO EAST ORIENTED ROADWAYS WHERE THERE
WILL BE A CROSS WIND.
