NORTHEAST ACROSS SOUTHEASTERN KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS FOR
MUCH OF TONIGHT. RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE THEN EXPECTED TO
EXPAND IN COVERAGE AND INTENSITY AS A STORM SYSTEM BEGINS TO
APPROACH THE AREA FROM THE WEST LATE TONIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING.
AN ADDITIONAL THREE QUARTERS TO ONE AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN...
WITH LOCALLY HEAVIER AMOUNTS...CAN BE EXPECTED ACROSS THE WATCH
AREA BY THE TIME RAIN ENDS THURSDAY AFTERNOON. WITH SOILS ALREADY
SATURATED FROM EARLIER RAINFALL...THIS ADDITIONAL RAIN IS EXPECTED
TO RESULT IN A FLOOD AND FLASH FLOOD RISK ACROSS THE REGION.

RAIN THAT FELL DURING PREVIOUS DAYS...FLASH FLOODING WILL BE
POSSIBLE WHERE ADDITIONAL HEAVY RAIN OCCURS.
* LOW LYING AREAS...LOW WATER CROSSINGS...AND OTHER FLOOD PRONE
LOCATIONS WILL BE ESPECIALLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO FLOODING OVER THE
NEXT FEW DAYS. MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER
DRIVE YOUR CAR OR TRUCK THROUGH A FLOODED ROADWAY...FIND AN
ALTERNATE ROUTE INSTEAD. REMEMBER...TURN AROUND...DON`T
