...BLACK ICE LIKELY ON ROADWAYS THIS MORNING...
AN ARCTIC AIR MASS WILL CONTINUE TO POUR INTO THE AREA THIS
MORNING WITH TEMPERATURES QUICKLY FALLING THROUGH THE 20S AND
EVEN INTO THE TEENS ACROSS WESTERN MISSOURI AND SOUTHEASTERN
KANSAS. THE COMBINATION OF THE RAPIDLY FALLING TEMPERATURES AND
BRISK NORTHWEST WINDS WILL LIKELY LEAD TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF BLACK
ICE ON ANY ROADWAYS THAT WERE WET FROM RECENT RAINFALL. IN
ADDITION TO THE THREAT FOR BLACK ICE...WIND CHILLS WILL FALL INTO
THE SINGLE DIGITS AND LOWER TEENS EARLY THIS MORNING.
ANYONE TRAVELING THIS MORNING SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR BITTERLY COLD
WIND CHILLS AND SLIPPERY SPOTS ON AREA ROADWAYS. USE EXTRA CAUTION
WHILE DRIVING AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.
