AT 254 AM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA..FROM
JUST EAST OF WARRENSBURG TO PILOT GROVE AND BUNCETON. WHITEMAN AIR
FORCE BASE MEASURED NEARLY 3 INCHES OF RAIN IN TWO HOURS...AND
SIMILAR TOTALS EXTEND TOWARD PILOT GROVE...JUST NORTH OF SEDALIA.
ALTHOUGH THE AXIS OF HEAVY RAINFALL WILL SHIFT SOUTH AFTER 3
AM...RUNOFF AND FLASH FLOODING WILL CONTINUE. ADDITIONAL
THUNDERSTORM DEVELOP IS ALSO POSSIBLE AFTER 4 AM.
RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO
OCCUR. SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
BOONVILLE...FAYETTE...SWEET SPRINGS...HOUSTONIA...LA MONTE...NEW
FRANKLIN AND PILOT GROVE.
THIS WILL IMPACT
I-70 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 63 AND TO AT LEAST 113 AT THE MISSOURI
RIVER BRIDGE.
