...Very High Fire Danger Today...
Very high fire danger is expected today in portions of eastern
Kansas and Missouri. Afternoon humidity values will fall into the
25 to 30 percent range with a wind from the south between 25 and
30 mph, gusting to around 45 mph.
These conditions, when combined with dry dormant grasses, will
elevate the fire weather danger across the area today. Fires that
do ignite will spread quickly in these conditions. As a result,
outdoor burning is highly discouraged.
