Hello, My Name Is …
As Melvin Helitzer once said “I’d like to introduce a man with a lot of charm, talent, and wit. Unfortunately, he couldn't be here tonight, so instead ...” Well, on that note, hi I’m Lauren Hughes!
I am interning at the The Mirror newspaper this year and this is my blog. I am a senior at Tonganoxie High School and I’m involved in all kinds of things at THS. I play the best sport on the face of the planet — that sport being cross country (I’m a little one-sided on that opinion.).
Along with running I’m very involved with Family Career and Community Leaders of America and Future Business Leaders of America and school theatre productions. You may have also seen me in my stylish orange polo at B&J Country Mart. Yep, that’s right folks, I have been a cashier there for almost three years now. It might not be what I want to do for the rest of my life, but hey, it pays the bills, right?
Speaking of what I plan on doing for the rest of my life … well, I couldn’t tell you exactly but I can tell you that I plan on attending Pittsburg State University next fall and dual majoring in commercial graphics and marketing. Stay tuned to see how that one works out.
I am a self-proclaimed Kardashians and Beatles addict and as most teens spend too much time on Facebook, rather than on my homework. Now that you know a little about me I hope that you will enjoy this blog throughout this year just as much as I will. Thanks for reading and I will see you again very soon!
