Global Currency

Section 8. The Congress shall have power (removed a few items) To coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures;

Here's a quote from the Hill's Blog Briefing Room Global currency story gains steam@ 1:39 pm by Eric Zimmermann Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner stated that he was "open" to a proposal by the governor of China's central bank to replace the dollar with a new global currency:

So it seems that congress has the power to coin money but perhaps an unelected Treasury Secretary wants to do something outside the constitution, again...

Our elected officials (in Washington DC) have taken an oath to uphold the constitution, it's their job. It's not bailouts or health care or the environment or education or nationalizing businesses or making a global currency or many other things they are consumed with doing. And we continue to elect these bozos?

How much more of the constitution must be thrown in the ditch before anybody stands up and says enough?

Am I the only one that really cares anymore?

Knock Knock Knock, anyone home out there???

Oh, I forgot, you voted for change.

Well you certainly are getting change.
