By Staff | Dec 8, 1999

Both the McLouth boys and girls teams return five letter winners from last season.

Jerry Wilkens is in his fifth year as the head coach for the lady Bulldogs.

He said that he expects seniors to lead the team but that the team has a good mixture of younger players.

Returning players are Penny Kitterman, senior guard; Jessica Steffey, senior guard; Jessica Durkes, senior forward; Michelle Dean, junior guard; and Rebecca Schwinn, junior forward.

The Lady Bulldogs are already 1-1, including a 57-43 win against Eudora.

Kevin Wade is coaching the boys team. The Bulldogs finished 6-14 last year.

He has 23 players out including three returning starters and five returning letter winners.

Shane Duncan, senior guard; Jesse Phillips, senior guard; Aaron Gardner, junior guard; Robert Smith, junior forward; and Sean Willits, junior center, are the top returners.

Danny Williams, junior guard; Jason Owen, junior forward; Dan Boschert, senior guard; Chase Coffin, sophomore guard; Derek Peterson, sophomore forward; and Terence Fixico, freshman forward, could also contribute.
