Chapman-Wachter

Libby Chapman, Tonganoxie, and Matthew Wachter, Wheaton, Ill, were married June 5, 1999, at West Haven Baptist Church in Tonganoxie with the Rev. Rick Lamb officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Melanie Chapman, Tonganoxie. The groom is the son of Ellwood and Mary Wachter, Wheaton, Ill.

Matron of honor was Marci Purcell. Bridesmaids were Susan Reed, Lynda Wachter, Mary Wachter and Sarah Wachter. Best man was Jeff Clemens. Groomsmen were David Purcell, John Wachter, Paul Wachter and Mike Wachter. Mallory and Madeleine Neet served as flowergirls. Paige Robinson was in charge of programs, and Michelle DeVeau served at the guest book. Ushers were Adam Ferguson, Jim Rogers and Stuart Beaton

A reception was held at Alvamar Country Club in Lawrence.

The bride was a graduate of Tonganoxie High School and received a bachelor’s degree in 1997 in education from the University of Kansas. She is employed at White Church Elementary in Kansas City, Kansas.

The groom graduated from Wheaton North High School, Wheaton, Ill., and received a bachelor’s of general studies in 1997 in economics from the University of Kansas. H is employed by Black & Veach and is currently working on his MBA at Baker University. The couple live in Overland Park.
