Amelia Catherine Wager, 89, Topeka, died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, at Plaza West Care Center, Topeka.
Services were Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at High Prairie Gospel Tabernacle in Leavenworth, with the Rev. Bud Jones officiating. Burial was in Eagle Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
Mrs. Wager was born January 3, 1910, in Wyandotte County, the daughter of Guy and Johanna (Backnick ) Dunlap.
She attended Stanwood Elementary School and graduated from Tonganoxie High School. On November 20, 1934, she married Leslie H. Wager in Lawrence. He preceded her in death January 19, 1974.
She was a member of High Prairie Gospel Tabernacle, Leavenworth, and was a volunteer for many years at the Tonganoxie schools. She enjoyed quilting for herself and others.
Survivors include one son, Lynn Wager, Leavenworth; two daughters, Joyce Terry, McLouth and Ann Matthews, Topeka; two sisters, Alfreda Nelson, Topeka and Ruth Roessel, Golden, Texas; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
