Sylvia W. Kensbock1934-1999

Sylvia W. Kensbock, 64, of Leavenworth died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999 at Cushing Hospital in Leavenworth. She was born Dec. 29, 1934 In Galena, Kan., the daughter of Alvin and Elsie Adamson Millard.

She married Lawrence Kensbock on Sept. 28, 1968, in Leavenworth. They owned and operated the M & M Fishing Lake for many years. He died in 1990. She operated the lake until her retirement in 1997.

She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Payne, Leavenworth; Mary Crecelius, Topeka, and Debbie Deal, Potter, Kan. She leaves eight grandchildren and nine great-grand children. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathryn Meeker, and one son John, Kensbock. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Oct. 19, at Mount Muncie Cemetery, Leavenworth. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. The Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
