Services for Gladys Zimmerli, 88, Linwood, were Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, at Quisenberry Chapel, Tonganoxie, with the Rev. Ben Saathoff officiating. Burial was in Mount Sidney Cemetery, Linwood.

Mrs. Zimmerli died Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at the Tonganoxie Nursing Center. She was born Feb. 25, 1912, in Dodge County, Neb., the daughter of Maurice and Addie (Brown) Black. She was a homemaker.

She married Fred Zimmerli on July 2, 1962, in Lawrence. He died Jan. 19, 1996.

Survivors include three brothers, Maurice F. Black Jr. and Wayne Black, both of Tonganoxie, and Dale Black, Olathe; and three sisters, Doris Gilliland and Opal Kerns, both of Tonganoxie, and Alta Wright, Lawrence.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Linwood United Methodist Church.
