The sectional competition for the Dribble Pass and Shoot contest sponsored by the Kansas City Wizards will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at West Junior High, Leavenworth.
A Tonganoxie boy, Mitchell DeHoff, 9, participated on April 28 in the local competition, and took first place in his age division.
DeHoff will compete at the Saturday competition in Leavenworth.
The winners of the sectional will have a chance to compete in the team championship sponsored by the Wizards.
Chieftain day-camp
starts July 23
The Little Chieftain daycamp will start July 23.
The camp will take place for two weeks on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
The camp includes recreation gamedays with tours of the police and fire departments and trips to the library and a veterinary clinic also scheduled
A few spots are still available and the camp fee is $20

Annual soccer clinic returns next month
The fifth annual KC Wizards/KCKCC Soccer Clinic will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 2 and Aug. 3. The camp will feature select Wizard players, including Mo Johnston.
The clinic will be at Chieftain Park and the cost is $20 for both nights, or $15 for one night. Family rate is $30 for two participants or $50 for three.
The clinic is open to players ages 5 through 18.
