Carroll and Wilma Smith

Carroll and Wilma Smith, Tonganoxie, plan to celebrate their 65 wedding anniversary with a reception for family and friends on Sunday.

The Smith were married April 4, 1936, in Scottsville, Ky. Mr. Smith owned and operated Adolph Truck Equipment and Adolph Manufacturing until he retired in 1988. Mrs. Smith worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline until she retired in 1983.

They have two daughters, Nancy Mahany and Ann Rumsey, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
