Obituary: Lloyd Cooley Jr.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Nov. 30, 2203, at the Tonganoxie United Methodist Church for Lloyd Cooley Jr., 63, Tonganoxie, with the Rev. Paul Waters officiating.

Mr. Cooley died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at his home. He was born on Feb. 29,1940, in Goff, the son of Lloyd and Dorothy (Harris) Cooley.

He was a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for the Martin-Marietta Company after his retirement from the service. He attended the United Methodist Church, Tonganoxie.

On Aug. 9,1964, he married Sherryl Krogsgaard, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include his mother Dorothy Cooley, Atchison; one son, Raymond L Cooley, Littleton, Colo.; one daughter, Jennifer L. Astaldi, Heeney, Colo.; one brother, Ralph Cooley, Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Evelyn Burkart and Anne Locke, both of Lawrence, and Louise Mackey, Independence, Mo.; and one grandson.

Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, handled arrangements.
