Obituary: Glen L. “Shorty” Lee

Graveside services for Glen L. “Shorty” Lee, 88, Basehor, were Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at Hubbel Hill Cemetery in Tonganoxie.

Mr. Lee died Friday, Aug. 13, 2004, at his home. He was born Sept. 17, 1915, in the Ackerland area of Leavenworth County, the son of James and Bessie (Hanley) Lee.

He was retired from Meyer’s Dairy, Basehor, and was a farmer.

On Dec. 21, 1942 he married Lois Billbe in Leavenworth. She died on Sept. 8, 1999.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Lee, Basehor, and Gary Lee, Lansing; a daughter, Betsy Lee, Danville, Calif.; two sisters, Nellie Bretz, Leavenworth, and Mildred Shoemaker, Tonganoxie; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
