Elmer William “Bill” Lee
Memorial services for Elmer William “Bill” Lee, 39, Tonganoxie, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Village West Assembly of God Church, 102nd Street and Parallel, Kansas City, Kan.
Mr. Lee died on Nov. 18 at the University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kan., from injuries he received in an explosion and fire as he was welding a gasoline tank onto a pickup truck in a barn several miles east of Tonganoxie.
Mr. Lee was born May 16, 1965. In 1986, he married Sharon Kay Beach. She preceded him in death. Mr. Lee moved to Tonganoxie about 15 years ago and had worked for Asbestos Local Nos. 27, 204 and 1290.
Survivors include his parents-in-law, Alve and Aletha Beach and his companion, Margaret Frazier, all of the home; his foster parents, Ernest and Dena Anthony of Missouri; a stepson, Johnny Smith, and stepdaughter, Jaime Smith, both of Tonganoxie; two brothers, Donald Lee, Adrian, Mo., and Anthony Lee, Cameron, Mo.; a sister, Aletha Brewer, Raytown, Mo.; and seven stepgrandchildren.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church.
