Obituary: Steven Dean Zacharias

Memorial services for Steven Dean Zacharias, 56, Leavenworth, will be at 7 p.m. today, Dec. 1, 2004, at Tonganoxie Christian Church, Tonganoxie. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at the National Cemetery, Leavenworth.

Mr. Zacharias died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Leavenworth. He was born June 27, 1948, in Troy. He worked as a truck driver and had served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of First Christian Church, Atchison.

His father, Harry Zacharias, died Nov. 22, 2004.

Survivors include three daughters, Kelli Jo Snyder, Indianapolis, Amanda Deann Sievertson, Franklin, Ind., and Amy “Katie” Zacharias, Olathe; his mother, Nellie Zacharias, Tonganoxie; two brothers, William H. Zacharias, Clay Center, and Frank R. Zacharias, Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Doris L. Schoeck, Emporia, and Rhonda J. Owens, Reeds, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, handled arrangements.
