Obituary: Berniece L. Marsh

Services for Berniece L. Marsh, 66, Tonganoxie, will be at 1 p.m. today, March 31, 2004, at Wilson Funeral Home, Fredericktown, Mo. Burial will be in Christian Cemetery, Fredericktown.

Mrs. Marsh died Saturday, March 27, 2004, at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital, Kansas City, Mo. She was born Nov. 2, 1937, in Chaffee, the daughter of Abraham C. and Nancy L. Childers Wilkinson.

Mrs. Marsh was a homemaker, a former Girl Scout leader, volunteer for Meals on Wheels and former food chairman for Independence Days in Lawrence.

She and her husband moved in 1988 to Lawrence and then in 1995 to Tonganoxie.

She married Norman L. Marsh on July 24, 1955, in Fredericktown. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Deborah C. Bailey, Del Rio, Texas; a son, Daniel C. Marsh, Draffenville, Ky.; two sisters, Rosemary Vaughn, St. Genevieve, Mo., and Stella Parsons, Granite City, Ill.; two brothers, Bill Wilkinson, Festus, Mo., and Abe Wilkinson, Peoria, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

A son, Douglas, died earlier.

The family suggests memorials to St. Luke’s Northland Hospital or the American Cancer Society, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th, Lawrence 66044.
