Obituary: Arthur P. Sorensen

Services for former Tonganoxie resident Arthur P. Sorensen, 89, Kansas City, Kan., were Monday, May 10, 2004, at Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie. Burial was in Hubbel Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Sorensen died last Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at Providence Place Nursing Center, Kansas City, Kan. He was born Feb. 24, 1915, in Rosedale, the son of Harry and Helen (Dole) Sorensen.

He worked as an auto body mechanic for Quality Dodge, Kansas City, Kan. He was a member of the International Auto Machinist Union, local No. 778, Kansas City, Mo.

He married Mildred M. Krapes on July 24, 1936, in Tonganoxie. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Arthur W. Sorensen, Tonganoxie; six grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Kenneth Lee Sorensen, died Dec. 4, 1965, in Vietnam.
