Warrior girls open campaign with split
The Tonganoxie seventh-grade junior high basketball team opened its 2004 season by winning Oct. 25 against Eudora by a 16-7 score.
The Warriors then lost their home opener Oct. 26 to Clark, 26-13.
The B-team won both their games, 26-5 and 12-10, in overtime.
“I felt the girls did really well considering the number of practices we have had,” TJHS coach Phil Jeannin. “We were able to give 38 girls an opportunity to play. We have many more games to play and will see continued progress.”
