Warrior grapplers roll against Leavenworth schools
The Tonganoxie Junior High seventh- and eighth-grade wrestling teams battled Leavenworth Patton and Leavenworth Warren middle schools Monday in the Tonganoxie Junior High gymnasium.
Against Patton, the Warriors won 21 matches (20 by pin) and lost eight matches for a 123-39 team win.
Against Warren the Warriors won 26 matches (19 by pin) and lost seven for a 135-30 team victory.
TJHS will travel Saturday to Lansing for a nine-team tournament.
The Warriors then will travel Monday to Lawrence West to take on Basehor-Linwood, Eudora and Lawrence West in a triple dual.
