Obituary: Charles H. Murr

Services for Charles H. Murr, 95, Monte Vista, Colo., were Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at the Rogers Family Mortuary Chapel in Monte Vista. Burial was in the San Luis Valley Cemetery.

Mr. Murr died April 2, 2005, at the Mountain Meadows Nursing Home, Monte Vista. He was born Jan. 31, 1910, in Neely, Kan., the son of Henry and Nellie Pecka Murr.

Mr. Murr was a retired farmer and member of the Monte Vista Baptist Church.

On Feb. 24, 1940 he married Virginia Knapp in Leavenworth. She survives of the home. Other survivors include one son, Rod Murr, Alamosa, Colo., two daughters, Aileen Gardner, Alamosa, and Arleen Henderson of Waleska, Ga., four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
