Obituary: Rita Mae Dally

Graveside services for Rita Mae Dally, 52, Tonganoxie, were Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Kan.

Mrs. Dally died Aug. 16, 2005, in an automobile accident on U.S. Highway 24-40 south of Tonganoxie. She was born Oct. 24, 1952, in Smith Center, the daughter of Dan and Evah (Norris) Basel.

Mrs. Dally worked as a data processor for 33 years at Kmart Distribution Center in Lawrence. She married Robert E. Dally on Sept. 17, 1983, in Lawrence. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Tammy Lynn Pippert, Topeka; her parents, Dan and Evah Basel, Lawrence; two sisters, Mary Rawlings, Lawrence, and Diane Gammill, Ponca City, Okla.; three brothers, Rodney and Danny Basel, both of Eudora, and Wendell Basel, Kansas City, Kan.; and two grandchildren.

A daughter, Samantha Erin Dally, died on June 24, 2001.
