Friday’s THS soccer season opener at Mill Valley has been postponed. The game originally was going to be played in Shawnee. Officials then discussed moving the game to Tonganoxie because the Chieftain Park field was in better shape, but was cancelled because of additional rain in the area. A makeup date has not been set.

The Chieftain football team’s red-white scrimmage slate for Friday night has been moved to between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Saturday on the team’s practice field just west of Beatty Field.

The Tonganoxie volleyball team, meanwhile, will have its scrimmage at its original time —- 5 p.m. in the THS gymnasium.

On Friday in McLouth, the MHS volleyball team will scrimmage at 6 p.m. in the Gold Gym, while the football team will scrimmage at 6 p.m. on the middle school practice field just west of the high school. The Bulldog cross country team will have its scrimmage run at 7 p.m. at the Bulldog Sports Complex.
