Obituary: George B. Fisher

Services for George B. Fisher, 79, Tonganoxie, will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 3, 2005, at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Mr. Fisher died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan. He was born April 2, 1925, in Witchie, Texas, the son of William and Ada (Goforth) Fisher.

Mr. Fisher was a machine operator for Certainteed Corporation, Kansas City, Kan., who retired in 1986 after 35 years of service.

He married Evelyn Saunders on Sept. 4, 1948, in Hatfield, Ark. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Gladys Rogers, and Brenda Olsen, both of Tonganoxie; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association, sent in care of Quisenberry Funeral Home, P.O. Box 993, Tonganoxie 66086.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Quisenberry Chapel.
