Tonganoxie wrestlers impressive in first day
In the Tonganoxie’s best performance of the year, the Chieftain wrestlers advanced nine of 10 wrestlers from the first day of a Class 4A regional tournament Friday at Fort Scott.
After the first day of action, THS was in seventh place out of 16 teams with 31 points. Heading into Saturday, Fort Scott led the regional with 67, while Baldwin was in second with 65. Spring Hill (51), Louisburg (46.5), Eudora (40.5) and Ward (32) rounded out the next four spots.
