Tonganoxie basketball teams get first-round substate assignments
The Tonganoxie High girls will be playing at home Tuesday against Piper, while the Tonganoxie High boys will be on the road Monday at Bonner Springs.
Both games will start at 7 p.m.
The boys, who are 6-13 on the season, are the No. 6 seed and will play No. 3 Bonner Springs. The Braves swept the Chieftains in their two regular-season meetings.
As for the Tonganoxie girls, THS is the No. 1 seed with a 17-2 record. The girls already defeated No. 8 Piper earlier in the season. The Pirates also were the Chieftains’ first-round opponent last year when THS was a No. 2 seed.
