Obituary: Charles G. Sturgis

Charles G. Sturgis, 66, Colorado Springs, died Feb. 17, 2005, at his home.

He was born Jan. 18, 1939, in San Bernadino, Calif., the son of Clifford M. and Irene Sturgis. He attended grade school and high school in Tonganoxie. After the family moved to Colorado, he graduated from Manitou High School.

He married Barbara J. Wickham on March 1, 1974, in Las Vegas. He had worked in sales in the automotive industry and later opened his own garage door business.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a daughter, Tami Allen; a son, C.R. Sturgis; a stepson, Chuck Thomsom; his mother, Irene Sturgis; a brother, Spencer Sturgis; and three grandchildren.

Memorial services were Feb. 23, 2005, at the Shrine of the Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel of Roses. Inurnment was in the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum in Colorado Springs.
