Obituary: Murriel Young

Services for Murriel Young, 80, Tonganoxie, were Saturday, Oct. 8, 2005, at West Haven Baptist Church. Burial was in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Mr. Young died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2005, at his home. He was born Aug. 10, 1925, in Nail, Ark., the son of Lee and Julia (Brown) Young.

He owned Cargo Oil Company service station in Kansas City, Kan. He was a member of the West Haven Baptist Church, Tonganoxie.

He married Ruby Oleta Ammons Murriel on Sept. 22, 1946, in Deer, Ark. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Don Young, Tonganoxie; a daughter, Kathleen Ann Young, Chattanooga, Tenn.; two brothers, Jim Young, Branson, Mo., and Gerald Young, San Pablo, Calif.; a sister, Judy Paul, Branson, Mo.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
