Frantz jersey to be retired before Friday’s game
The Tonganoxie football team will retire Lucas Frantz’ number and jersey before Friday’s football game against De Soto at Beatty Field in Tonganoxie.
The ceremony will start between 6:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.., THS football coach Mark Elston said Friday morning.
Former THS players who graduated with Frantz in 2002 will be on hand for the event also.
Frantz was killed by sniper fire Tuesday while serving as an Army Specialist in Iraq.
