McLouth wins Delaware Valley League title

By Shawn Linenberger - | Oct 21, 2005

The turnaround hit another plateau Friday for the McLouth football team.

MHS, which went 0-9 in 2003, improved to 8-0 this season after defeating defending Delaware Valley League champion Pleasant Ridge, 18-10, Friday in Easton. The Bulldogs claimed both DVL and district titles with the win against the Rams.

The Bulldogs went winless in 2002 and 2003, but have continued their quick rebuilding process after going 4-5 last season. MHS will go for an undefeated regular season Thursday when the Bulldogs play Maur Hill.

In Tonganoxie, fans are pretty excited as well. The Chieftains dropped De Soto, 30-22, and won their seventh straight game.

THS will challenge for the Kaw Valley League title Thursday at Perry-Lecompton. The winner will be crowned league and district champion.
