Koch placed first in the 75-meter hurdles and first in the 400 meters. Koch finished in 12.72 seconds in the hurdles and 1 minute, 1.4 seconds in the 400.

The eighth-grade Warriors finished second in the four-team invitational with a score of 57. Monticello, a De Soto school district middle school, won the meet with 80.

Koch also was part of the 4×400 relay team that placed first with a 4:18 time. Keaton Schaffer, Austen Holloway and Jeremie Maus rounded out the relay team.

Maus also placed first in the discus with a 115-3 throw.

In seventh-grade action, the Warriors placed fourth with 28 points. Monticello also won the seventh-grade team title with 87.

Ian McClellan took first in the long jump with a 15-0 leap. He also helped the 4×400 team take first with a 4:46 time. Also on that team were Bryson Hewins, Devin Scates and Jeff Sims.

The Warriors will compete Tuesday with a home meet at Beatty Field, the THS football and track complex. The meet begins at 3:30 p.m.
