Obituary: Shawn “Mike Kuether

Services for Michael Shawn “Mike” Kuether, 32, Leavenworth, were Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs, with private burial in the Leavenworth National Cemetery.

Mr. Kuether died Feb. 4, 2006. He was born Jan. 30, 1974, in Lawrence.

He had served in the U.S. Army as a specialist in the 82nd Airborne as a combat engineer. He had lived in the Leavenworth area for the past few years.

His mother, Marcia Wallin, died in 1996.

Survivors include his father Daniel Kuether of Minneapolis, Minn.; his maternal grandmother, Edna Maness of Augusta, Kan., and several aunts and uncles, including Fred Maness of Tonganoxie and Doan and Debbie Maness of Bonner Springs.
