Bulldogs win with buzzer beater
Trevor Keling’s shot with seconds left helped the McLouth boys defeat Cair Paravel, 67-65, Friday in the MHS gymnasium.
Jimmy Steffey led McLouth with a career-high 21 points, while Andrew Booth had a career-high of his own — 19 in the victory that pushed the Bulldogs’ record to 5-13.
The McLouth girls, despite a halftime lead, fell to Cair Paravel, 50-32, and dropped to 2-15.
In Shawnee, despite an early deficit, the Tonganoxie girls defeated Mil Valley, 57-38, and improved to 17-1 on the season.
The THS boys, meanwhile, now are 0-18 on the season after losing to Mill Valley, 64-33.
